Changing Poster Ideas

I decided half way through making my poster that I was not happy with how it was looking and that it wasn't standing out enough. Therefore, I then came to the conclusion that I wanted to make a tour poster as they are the type of poster most seen around in public and in media texts. To begin making my new tour poster I chose a new image which I wanted to use and I mirrored it using Photoshop. I like the effect this gave as it was effective to have the artist next to herself connoting she is twice as strong. This is what the image looked like after I had mirrored it.

I then saved the new image for my tour poster and opened it in picmonkey to add the filter which I used for all the images for my Digipak. Below is what the result was.

Next, I needed to add vital information to my poster like the artists name and album name, also tour dates needed to be added as well as the venues. I then decided that I needed to add some logos for websites like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to advertise social media which my artist can be found on. Lastly, I put a digital code in the bottom left hand corner so that as people have smart phones now, if they were to scan this, it could take them to a page where they could find their tickets and buy them straight away.

Lastly, I needed to add a logo to my poster which adds a personal touch to the poster as it looks like my artist has signed it. I put this in red which made it stand out from anything else on the poster. Finally, I changed the colour of the artists name and album name so that it was easier to read from afar, I changed the colour from green to white.
